Which products are right for you?

Solar

Going solar can have massive financial and environmental benefits, regardless of your lifestyle, but it’s important to get the perfect products for you.

How can you get the most out of going solar?

Going greener

There are three main elements that make up our solar packages, and it’s our job to create the perfect one for you.

Solar PV Panels

Solar panels are an increasingly popular, renewable and energy efficient way of generating electricity, that gives you independence and more control over the energy in your home.

Battery Storage

Battery storage can be installed in your home alongside solar panels, so that you can save any excess electricity you generate for later use – nice!

EV Charger

Whether you’ve just bought an electric vehicle, or you’re in the market for one, you’ll need access to a charger. Why queue up at your nearest charge point when you can have your own personal charger at home?

Solar PV Panels

Efficiency

Rather than relying on the grid for your energy, the only thing you need to rely on when you go solar is the sun. Our solar panels are made out of semi-conducting materials, which means they are able to harness sunlight as it makes contact – creating an electrical current and powering your home directly.

  • It’ll save you money. Utilising solar technology in your home is a great way to keep your pennies in your pocket, by cutting on monthly energy bills.
  • It’s great for the environment. By switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy, you’ll greatly improve your carbon footprint.
  • It’ll last you for the long haul. As long as they’re kept clean and unaffected by the environment, a new set of solar panels will last 20-35 years on average. Not only that, but you’ll break even on your investment long before that, so you’ll be saving money for decades to come.
  • While our solar PV panels are proven to save you £££s in the long-term, we understand the initial investment is considerably pricey. We want to make you as comfortable as possible during the process, and you may even be eligible for financial support.
  • Due to solar panels being completely reliant on sunlight, long periods of poor weather, a lack of sun exposure, or a shaded roof may make it harder to produce all of the power you need. But making adjustments or purchasing add-ons, such as a solar battery, can minimise these issues – we’ll make sure you’ve got the right package for you.
  • Relocating and reinstalling solar panels if you need to move home can be time-consuming and costly, so it’s important to consider your long-term plans before making a solar investment. Although, due to the high money-saving potential, having solar panels installed tends to increase the value of most properties.

Battery Storage

Efficiency

Much like the traditional battery you’d buy for your TV remote, a solar battery storage unit works by collecting the energy generated – in this case by your solar panels – and storing it. This is particularly useful because solar panels naturally generate the most power during daylight hours, which is often when homes use the least electricity. With a battery, you can use your energy when you want – giving you complete freedom over your usage.

  • It’ll keep you off grid. Being able to store excess energy for when the sun isn’t shining further reduces your reliance on the grid for electricity. You’ll be in much more control of your energy usage and you’ll massively cut down your monthly bills.
  • You’ll stay powered when others aren’t. Using your panels and having a bank of energy saved up for emergencies means that even power outages won’t keep you off supply.
  • You won’t notice it’s there. Not only are our solar batteries weather resistant and child and pet friendly, but they make very minimal noise. They’re simple, effective, easy to own, and require low maintenance.
  • Unfortunately, solar batteries aren’t included in the price of your solar panels and would instead be an optional add-on. While we understand this additional cost isn’t always possible on top of buying solar panels, the long-term saving potential is high and over the course of its lifetime, it’ll more than pay for itself.
  • Purchasing a solar battery can only happen if you have the extra space at your property. But don’t worry – when you speak to your Home Energy Consultant (HEC), they’ll do their very best to work with you and come up with the right solution.

EV Charger

Efficiency

An EV charger does exactly what it says on the tin – it charges up your electric vehicle, providing it power in the same way as filling up a petrol or diesel car would do. The charger pulls an electrical current from the outlet or the grid and transfers that electricity to your vehicle.

  • It’s very convenient. By owning your own EV charger, you’ll always have a charger handy to keep your car running. You can plug in your car whenever you’re not using it, or even overnight, without queues or unnecessary journeys – take charge of your charging needs.
  • It’ll save you money. Not only is charging an electric car cheaper than filling up a tank with petrol, but charging at home saves you even more money than using a public charge point. You’ll see the biggest savings if you use and store all of the solar energy you generate, but you’ll also be able to take advantage of our time of use tariffs when you need to charge at night.
  • Your environment will thank you. Owning your own EV charger is yet another step in going greener and reducing your carbon footprint. Driving an electric vehicle already releases significantly less emissions than petrol-powered vehicles, and by charging at home using your own solar power, you’ll have a massive impact on your environment.
  • Unfortunately, we’ll only be able to install an EV charger at your home if you have a driveway or off-street parking. You’d need to have the space and electrical infrastructure, meaning some properties may not be eligible.
  • You’ll use more energy if you charge at home rather than on the move, but by generating your own electricity, it’ll still save you £££s in the long-run.
