Solar payment FAQs

We know keeping track of your energy costs is important, so we’ve made billing and payments as simple as possible. Whether you want to understand your bill, set up a payment method, or explore ways to manage your energy costs, this guide has all the answers. Let’s break it down so you can stay in control with confidence.

  • Payment via Stripe – a secure link is sent to the customer via Stripe.
  • Debit or credit card – the customer can access the invoice and choose to pay safely via their debit or credit card, or Apple pay.

Payment is taken in 3 instalments if you decide to choose this option. 25% initial deposit, 35% before install, and final 40% after install is complete.

Yes. If you decide to change payment method please speak with your Home Energy Consultant who will guide you through the process. You can pay by either Stripe link or Hometree solar plan. You can also choose to pay a deposit via stripe and the remaining via Hometree Solar Plan (subject to eligibility and T&Cs).

Perfect for homeowners in England and Wales looking to install solar PV systems, with or without battery storage. It’s available for both owner-occupied and privately rented properties.

Unlike a standard loan, the Hometree Solar Plan lets you spread costs over longer terms, reducing your monthly payments. It also includes system monitoring, inspections, unlimited repairs, and no callout fees – so you’re covered for the lifetime of the plan.

With continuous system monitoring and regular inspections, Hometree can catch and fix issues before they affect your energy production. Plus, while warranties often cover only limited years, the Hometree Solar Plan provides repairs and replacements for up to 25 years.

Note: The plan doesn’t cover the removal and reinstallation of functioning solar equipment for roof repairs.
