Getting started with solar
Getting a quote is simple! Just visit our website and follow the instructions. We’ll ask you a few key questions about:
- Your postcode.
- Whether you rent or own your home.
- The type of property and number of bedrooms you have.
- Whether your home is listed or in a conservation area.
- Your electricity usage and current tariff.
- Whether you own an Electric vehicle and have a driveway.
The right system size depends on your energy usage and the system’s output. We’ll calculate this for you and recommend the best fit for your needs.
Once you receive a provisional quote, a Home Energy Consultant will book a survey to assess your property. Once everything is confirmed, here’s what to expect at the install stage:
- Scaffolding will be set up (usually the day before installation and removed within three days to minimise disruption).
- Our expert engineers will install your solar panels.
- You’ll receive your Manufacturer’s Installation Operating Manuals and a full handover pack within five working days, including certificates, warranties, and FAQs.
We can install solar panels on any roof elevation except north-facing roofs.
No. However, if your home is listed or in a conservation area, planning permission may be required. Your Home Energy Consultant will guide you through the process.
A solar battery stores excess energy generated during the day, allowing you to use it when you need it most instead of selling it back to the grid. This maximizes your energy savings.
The number of batteries, or the size of your battery you’ll need will completely depend on your energy usage, and how much energy you need to power your home. Most households only need one battery to sustainably fit their needs, but if your home has an especially high energy output, you may need further battery storages.
EV chargers pull electricity from your home’s supply to charge your vehicle, similar to how you’d fill a petrol or diesel car.
Yes! Our chargers support both Type 1 and Type 2 electric vehicles, covering all electric and hybrid models.
